Well I can't believe we are nearly mid way through November already…this year has flown by - anyone else think so? During October/November I spent 5 intense weeks on part B of Lilla Rogers'Make Art that Sells course. I took part A mid way through the year and part B did not disappoint. The course is really intense but it pushes and stretches you and I found this was just what I needed this year. It is well worth completing every assignment as they are fantastic pieces for your portfolio and Lilla's weekly reviews are full of insightful advice and comments. I am really sad that it is over and I will miss being in class with some of the most talented illustrators who have inspired me endlessly. Week 3: Scrapbooking. I had never designed for this market before but it was a great assignment: to design numerous icons that could be used for stickers, buttons, paper etc…Fun!!
Week 4: Editorial. We designed a map of the city we live in - I had so much fun designing this map of Wellington!
Week 5: Party Paper. We ended on a really fun assignment - design a folk themed party plate and napkin with optional paper cup design. Loved this!
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my designs from this course. If you think this is something you may like to have a go at, don't hesitate! I had such a blast x
