I am really enjoying my regular Sunday walks and last Sunday Nick and I went for a stroll just in our neighbourhood in Island Bay, around a gorgeous old building called Erskine College. I love all the little things I notice on my walks which I would probably overlook if I wasn't searching for it. The colours and shapes of nature always inspire me, especially how flowers are so perfectly formed. Now, I know I am drawing a lot of flowers lately. But I am so surprised just how many of them are growing around our house, on the side of the road, and such variety! So here is a few I found a couple of days ago...

I feel really naughty picking the flowers and bringing them home, so I pop them in these shot glasses to keep them alive for a while so I can enjoy them. Aren't they sweet? I hope you're all having a good week! xx Flora

There is a bit of a yellow and white theme which I really love (and a bit of cornflower blue - yum!)
I then came home and did some really quick sketches of them to hopefully turn in to something in the future. It is so nice to just draw without thinking of the final outcome, I will be using them for something I'm sure :)
